A Little Update

Well, it’s been a long time since I last posted on this blog, so here’s a little update:

First up: Remember we had another baby back in September last year? He’s nine months old now and just beautiful. Here he is going for a ride in a ’spacerocket’ by his big sister! :)

Second: We packed and decluttered, decluttered and packed, cleaned and renovated , renovated and cleaned, househunted and… unpacked. With two kids in tow, that was a fulltime job for about three months. Then we rested. Here’s a photo of the view from our new home. I call it Heaven!

Third: Moving to a new area near a new town in a new state so my hubby could start a new job… At least we’re in the same country! But our daily life rhythms changed completely. Instead of rushing the kids into childcare and getting back to work myself, I’ve been enjoying playing “mum” fulltime.

I discovered that it really can be playful and peaceful - when I’m not trying to do too much else at the same time. It’s been a really precious time of settling in as a family, getting creative with the kids and just “being”.

And that brings us to now.
I’m taking “back to work” slowly. Well, trying to. Partly because I’m enjoying my kids so much. Mostly because I’ve fallen in love with the deeper quiet that I’ve found inside myself when I’m not trying to do everything at once. And I want to protect it. Really.

I have maintained a close connection with Mark Silver and the team over at Heart of Business and I’ve been working a few flexible hours a week supporting the Business Oasis - a forum for small business owners who want to make a difference in the world and don’t want to do it on their own. It’s been such a joy to watch the unfolding of the many creative and caring business people there.

Over the next month or so, I’ll be resuming one-on-one sessions with a small number of clients (about 8, initially) through Heart of Business. I’m looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and digging into the whys and hows of growing a heart-centred business with some truly wonderful people (maybe even you!)

If you’re interested in working with me in this way, please check out my page at: The Organic Business Development Program-Basic.

That’s all from me for now, but I’d love to hear from you, business-wise or personally, what have been the highlights of the last six months?
