WOW!!! and WOOOO WOOOO WOW! Hurray for getting so much done, Yollana!

And payment for all that hard work is enough in the views you've got - both out the window and down at floor level. Gosh, they're adorable. Oh yes - eye level (Will!) - is pretty good, too...

Looking forward to seeing them face-to-face. Like maybe January?

Big hugs and many blessings,

Janet, thank you! I'm so happy that this work is supporting you to be more you. I deeply believe that this, more than anything, is what the world wants and needs from you. Love Yollana

@Evan, you know, that very thought came to me last night too.

It's funny how blog posts stay static, once written, while we humans move on and on. Just yesterday, something in Susan's comment and my reply - they're only young once - started resounding in my head like a guilt trip. Yuk! That wasn't sposed to happen! The old "you should give 110% of your time, love and attention to your kids or they'll be damaged for life" routine. Grrrr. And my (internal) response was to start kicking and screaming and say "Stuff you all! I'm going back to work then." Ha ha. My tidy blog post above didn't mention all that, did it?

Anyway. In the push and pull between kids and work, I remembered what I truly and deeply beleive. That true inner Quiet has nothing to do with work or play, "kid time" or "me time". It's the sound of a relationship that is lived with the divine in each moment. Wherever you are. Whatever you're doing. Your brief comment speaks to this perfectly.

@Dawud, Thank you so much for sharing more about your work and family life here. I really get a deeper sense of who you are somehow. So many of us are in this boat, eh? Balance.

@LisaG, thank you! So glad the relaxation made it to you too!

What I appreciate most is the balance you seem to be holding in your life. So vital for everything to be in its place and everything held in its perspective. My own business, while quite healthy, could be moving along even faster if I paid less attention to my 4 young kids and my wife and more to my work. But I can work and make more money any time. I can't get back one second I miss with my family. My kids are already growing fast enough (6, 4, 2, 7 months). If I could have anything, it wouldn't be more business...it would be slower days with them.

Thanks Susan, it's so easy to get caught in the needs - and passions - of the moment and lose the long term perspective (like they're only young once).

Sounds like a lovely life. Work will be there whenever you want it but the kids are only that age once and it all goes so fast. My niece and nephew are almost teenagers and it feels like it was yesterday they came off a plane from South Korea when they were 8 months old. My favorite age for both was between 41/2 and 6 so be sure to plan a hiatus down the line.
